Mt. Hutt Ski Trip

Ski trip to Mt. Hutt, Canterbury. Only 2 hours drive from Christchurch. It is the best place to skiing and snowboarding. It is also renowned as the Southern Alps. The scenery along the way was magnificent and indescribable. We saw pig, llama, horse and sheep farms, green plains, snowcapped mountains, cyan stream, snowstorm, and heavy fogs. We even fixed the snow chains on our sedan's wheels all by ourselves with a small favor from the guys. When we reached the skiing basement, we were not allowed to use the chair lift as the weather was very bad. We felt very frustrated, so we simply played the snow and took pics. Then, we had our lunch in our car while the heaters switched on whilst waiting for a friend who was skiing. The foods were more than people's appetite. We got kek batik, tart telur, keropok ikan, mee goreng, popia, and green tea. After that, we went down the mountains and went back home. Before that, we had to dismantle our snow chains. They smelt really bad. This time, we did it all by ourselves without no one's help. Along our way back home, we found a place to perform our prayers. It was at a camping site where we found a pretty river. Later, we continued our journey and before we got back home, we washed our car at a car wash, plus the vacuuming. Our Toyota Corolla rental car looked like a brand new car! Well indeed, the one-day trip has made our ukhuwah stronger and we knew each other better :)

Picnic at Lake Pegasus

Last week, my friends and I went to Lake Pegasus, only 40 minutes one way from our residential area. We departed around 9.30 am. That morning was bitterly cold and what more at Pegasus, a place which is close to snowcapped mountains. We brought along karipap, roti telur, mee goreng, kek batik and warm green tea. Our main purpose of getting there was to carry out a photoshoot. Hahaha... Not my plan. But my friend's plan, coz she is crazy over photos, plus, she has a dslr. So the photoshoot on that day was so enjoyable. Surprisingly, I was so sporting to take photos with my buds, except that I didn't do the jumping thingy. Huhuhu... Well, what I can say about Pegasus is that, it's just like Putrajaya. But it doesn't have office buildings. It actually resembles to Putrajaya in aspects of elite residential areas, lake, awesome and well-planned town. It's still under construction, anyway. Anyhow, I got a chance to enter one of the show-homes in that area. Not one, but two actually. Well, they are under the same company, Stonewood. I was amazed with the interior designs of the homes. Both are bungalows, but one is one-storey while another one is two-storey. I dream of owning such houses in Malaysia someday. Hehehe... Pie-in-the-sky dream... I also got an opportunity to talk to a Stonewoods' show-home guardian. I asked her about the price of the house and land, the interior design, the development within the radius of Pegasus town as well as the future of the town. She initially seemed dissatisfied when me and friends captured some pics inside the homes, but after I made a friendly conversation with her, she changed to be friendly too. So we must know on how to handle situations especially when we know that we're at a wrong side. Hihihi... Well people, have a look at the pictures :)
